Hotel Silva was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly but not well informed on how to visit Rome- they didn't know the best times to visit museums and some of the bus routes they were either wrong or not helpful. The location is quiet and in a residential area. There was no traffic noise. Air conditioning was minimal at best. I think I would have liked to stay closer to the sites of Rome rather than this location.

Some of the staff were great, but I had to lower my score to 60 because of the attitude of the man who refused to provide even another small towel to use for hands without charging for it, and even when I explained why we legitimately needed an extra big towel refused to give it, saying some clients clean their shoes with the towels! So beware, unlike the several hostals where we stayed that were generous with supplies, this hotel was stingy!

It was a terrible experience. First, i didn't get my card when I check in due to Sunday issue. Second, I found another guy sleeping in my bed on the next day when i came back, and all my stuff was throw on the ground. Third, an old men had been snoring all night so that the rest of four people did not fall to asleep at all including me. I wont go there twice!

Ciao, Everything is OK with the hotel but I think there must be a locker at the dormitories. It is a must cause somebody tried to rub my bag when I was sleeping. I hope you take my advice into consideration for the sake of your hostel and the customers as well. Thanks for the hospitality. Ozge from Turkey

Classic bait and switch. Despite my confirmed reservation, I was offered a bed in a completely different, tiny/cramped hostel run by the owner's "cousin." Very hostile manager. Never again.

We stayed on 1-3 March here. The hotel is very close to the metro station Vittorio Emanuelle (aprox 2 mins)and you can get to the main tourist sites in 10-15 mins.It is a Chinese neighbourhood but we had no problems whatsoever. The price is a strong argument for the position and rooms quality - I recommend it.

Accidental booking but I was happy with it. Clean room, nice and really helpful staff. One thing is a disadvantage that the shower is really small but as you use it only for shower and not for permanent stay it is ideal. Locatin is really far from the center but as there is a metro station for two minutes walk it is not a problem. ( only in case of a public transport stike as last Friday ) Colosseum stop is 15 minutes with metro. Overall rating good, I would book there again and would suggest to others. Was perfect for me to sleep after a busy day.

Masaki From Japan On November 30, -0001
