I arrived after a long flight with no sleeping at all . The receptionist told told me to store my stuff and kicked me out of the hostel . She said come back at 2 Pm only . I told her I just want to Log in the WiFi talk with my family and relax a little bit and she gave me 5 minutes to do so. She said after 5 minutes she come and tell me I need to leave immediately. When I wanted to take something from my bag she said at first I can’t go back because check in is only at 2 PM . Very bad first impression . |

Hostal Villamãnez is amazingly well located. I stayed for 2 nights, in a very small windowless bedroom, with a private bathroom with. It was clean and smelled clean. Only bad remark would be the noise of other guests coming and going. Take some ear plugs! Excellent price. I paid 63€ for the 2 nights. I will definitely come back. |

This is a basic pensione in a very good location. While some rooms seem to have windows, my room only had a small grill facing the corridor, so there was little ventilation. Note too the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything, and I mean everything, between bedrooms and bathrooms. The lady running it was a little rude on each occasion, it may have been my poor soanish or being a foreigner, as I noticed she was a lot nicer to Spanish guests. The room was clean and had the basics. I'd reccomemd for the location. |

The hostel was nice, a good price for what you get, a private room with your own bathroom is such a bargain, however... that ceiling fan they have in the room #11 is really noisy, and the things is that you can't turn it off unless you shut down the power supply... and if I get picky, those pillows they offer are kind of shitty, overall, I wouldn't mind to stay in again, but they need to address those small issues they have. |

the hostel was in a very good position,at 5 minutes walking from the most important/beautiful place in Madrid, but in a little street,so no traffic noise. there are some (good) restaurants and pubs in the street so if you really want silence you can ask an inner room. room was very little but very clean.and the staff, present in the reception 24hour, was well-mannered and kind, and helped us with all our questions/need. |

Nice an clean hostal in an excellent location, the most lively place in Madrid Gran Via. The room we got was having a balcony facing Gran Via, which was fabulous. Easy access for Madrid Night Life. Don't expect the staff to speak English. My wife forgot to take her watch when we checked out and when we came back it was gone. |
