Extremely disappointed with the service received from this hostel. Me and my friend had just been travelling for 27 hours from New Zealand to Dublin, we were tired and a bit nervous about being so far from home. Got to Citi Hostel and they had overbooked themselves so our only option was to sleep in seprate bedrooms or a shared 15 person room which was horrible. It was a seedy place with a gross feel & atmosphere about it. We left there feeling pretty upset, only to get charged for 2 nights accommodation anyway, even though we didn't even stay there! Overall very upset and not recommended whatsoever.
Can't recommend this hostel to anyone. When we arrived light was not working, the shower had leak of water, the included continental breakfast, simply horrible.
Room was to hot had to keep window opened so therefore never got much sleep because of noise and traffic shower facilities not adequate a bit pricey for what we got
Well over priced for what it is, rooms was very small and no secure storage space, the bathroom was mouldy and had damp all up the walls the shower curtain was disgusting and the floor just flooded plus there was no where to hang a towel or put any washbag so had to use the toilet seat! This hostel is perfect for if you are just here for a few days to get pissed and not spend much time in but the price is well over what it should be.
Moderately
Google maps directed us to the homeless shelter next door which was a bit frightening when we thought that was our hostel, thankfully we were directed in the right direction! We said this to Reception guy & he was quite rude to us saying what could ye do about Google maps. Obviously we didn't expect him to change this but he was quite rude about it. I asked about the breakfast & check out time while he was getting our key and he said to wait til he was finished and he would tell us all the info. He did this but he just seemed quite bored/rude/ unwelcoming. The room itself was comfortable and clean in great location so we could not fault the product but a but of customer service goes a long way!
It was really old and the rooms are not lockable also in the rooms where nothing to lock your stuff. Everywhere was mould and i felt unsafe... never again!!!!
You pay for what you get. Cheap and very simple, but reasonable clean.
I think for 27 euros per person, the bathroom should be clean. It was so dirty that I didn't even take a shower. It is a pity because the bed was clean but the bathroom ... so disgusting. Nice breakfast.
Too expensive for the service they offer. The rooms weren't ready when we did the chek-in. There was no hot water in the 4 people room shower during 2 days. No keys for the 12 people room. (They said: what do you expect from a cheap room?)
Quite Well. I think there are better hostels in Dublin..
its well located, but the employers need to be more kind and helpfull, and the lockers weren't enough big and were located far from the rooms
About cleaning I can't say very much, but overall I didn't found the hostel dirty at all;the staff was kind and helped you when we needed..about breakfast I dont'know..wi fi connection could have been better..finally,for about 12euros a day we shouldn't complain..in conclusion, not bad.
The hostel was absolutely filthy. The kitchen was underequiped. Only two pots available as 5 people wanted to cook. The beds were dirty with hairs in it... The staff was mixed, some very hepful and friendly some other the opposite... Over all i wouldn't come back because of the missing cleanliness.
I liked everything in this hostel.!!The staff was always willing to help me with everything I asked them. I didn't notice any dirtiness in the room although I had to share it with other three girls. And also, regarding the the location it's pretty close to downtown. You can take the bus but I preferred walking which is around 20-25minutes. I highly recommend it to everyone who wants to combine cheap accommodation and fun :)
it was wunderful to stay there, the staff was great and very helpful. Thanks!
My friend and I booked a 4 bed female room for 3 nights at Citi Hostel. Reading the reviews after booking, I regretted making the down payment. We expected the worst, but, we were pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. Citi Hostel proved to be an inexpensive nice little place, very close to the city centre. The room and sheets were clean, the staff was kind and helpful, roommates were friendly and respectful. The shower was hotter than needed; however, it was not a problem for me. I recommend this hotel with all my heart. Please note, you’re not paying for a luxurious all inclusive hotel, you’ll probably pay 10 pounds/night (breakfast included, 24h access to the kitchen and free internet access). Do bring your soap, towel, shampoo, slippers, and possibly your own pillowcase, if you are fussy, and you will have the best accommodation you could find in Dublin.
Nice, but pillow was full of dust and trash should be carry out from last days
Reasonable standard double. Kitchenware needs improvement. But great to meet people.
very good!
