With Largest variety of rooms (Budget, Moderate standard, Deluxe & Super Deluxe Room). More than 100 rooms with different combinations, capable to accommodate for large groups. - 4 bed private ensuite: Mostly with 2 king size beds. Only 3 rooms with 1 double and 2 single beds.
- 3 bed private ensuite: Mostly with 1 double & 1 single beds. Only 3 rooms with 1 bunk bed and 1 single bed.
- Super Deluxe Room is to guarantee with window while the normal deluxe room is not guaranteed with window. The room arrangement is depends on the on day room availability and different customer's rate, the earlier you book, the cheaper it is; the higher rates, the better quality the room.

ROOM FACILITIES & SERVICE
We have free local direct-line telephone, IDD, color televisions, cable and satellite television, individually controlled air-conditioning, shared mini refrigerator, hairdryers for rent, and bath towel, bath liquid. Laundry & drying service, hot shower with limited time range (7am-12noon, 7pm to 12am) .
We offer various services: Free wake up call; Free information; Tour guide; VISA express service; Money Exchange; Copy and fax service are also available. If that wasn't enough for you, kids (3-year-old or below) stay free!
SECURITY
In our building, groups of security guards team with uniform are patrolling 24 Hours every day.
Security check is performing every night at the entrance of the building's basement. If you come back late after mid-night, you need to fill in a form or show your passport, or ID card or hostel staying certificate to our security guards of the building.

ATMOSPHERE
Mirador Mansions features a labyrinth of guesthouses, African bistros, clothing shops, sari stores, and foreign exchange offices. It often acts as a large gathering place for some of the ethnic minorities in Hong Kong, particularly Indians, Middle Eastern people, Nepalese, Sri Lankans, Bangladeshis, Nigerians, Europeans, Americans, Pakistanis, Asians, and many other peoples of the world. The building was completed in 1961, at which time Chinese residents predominated. Now, after more than four decades of use, there are nearly 4,000 people living in the Mansions.
With this lively mix of guest workers, mainlanders, local Chinese, tourists and backpackers, the Mirador Mansion neighbourhood is one of the most culturally diverse locations in Hong Kong.
In a study by CUHK anthropologist , it is revealed that there are people from at least 120 different nationalities who have passed through Mirador Mansions in the past year. When filling in the arrival time to the hostel, please add 40 minutes if coming by train or 1 hour if coming by A21 airport bus to the estimated flight arrival time. And if you arrival at 11:00PM, please select 23:00 not 11:00. Please understand that the hostels have to allocate late check-out, early check-in, walk-in customers every day, the confirmed 'arrival time' help you and all guests to have the best arrangement.

CAUTION : Prevention for your loss of money, please don’t show your booking sheet to any stranger approaching you in front of Mirador Mansion. They might claim to be our staff and mislead you to other hostel, trying to get money from you. Don’t pay any money until you reach our hostel. If you need help, on the road side there are some public phone which charge HK$1 that you can use to call Sandy or get the information from security guards inside Mirador Mansion (lift area). The security will help you to find our hostel more easily.

We had difficulty at first because our reservation was given to another since our plane arrive past midnight even if I emailed them in advance (though I got no response). However, the staff ensured that we got a cramped space to sleep for a few hours and moved us to a better room after 12:00 noon.
It's horrible place to stay. my friends suffer from rashes for a week from the bed bugs. The toilets flush faulty. The bedroom was dirty, the Ceiling was hole everywhere. Its a nightmare. Dont ever stay there or you will regret it.
In a word, you get what you pay ; and in Hong Kong the price are quiet high. I've booked a bed in a four bed room and I've actually been to a 6 bedrooms dormitory. I've been explained that there won't have more than 4 people inside. The bed was a plank of wood with a small and smelly futon (after a couple a nights you actually get use to it). The room was big enough with air condition and ventilation (which was nice) Bathroom was kind of a joke cause you shower in a toilet. It is cleaned everyday but they are not enough toilets or cleaning per day so if you take the shower pretty late, then you know that people can do dirty things... The staff over there is quiet useless. Asking a question to the owner is a pain in the ass for him to answer. He won't give any special advice if you don't harass him to answer. The location is nice/not nice. Everyday when you walk around your hostel, people will harass you to buy watches or suits or maybe hash... The place is close to TST station and to the Ferry star but all the main bars are on the other island so or you come back before the last metro (around mid night) or you take the taxi (expensive in HK compared to China) In the other hand, the people you met there are nice. Easy to make contact and go out. Also the price are negotiable some paid 50/night some like me who booked on-line paid 100/night (HK $) The washing-machine doesn't work but if you pay 40$ then you'll get your clothes cleaned and dry. Also there is a fridge available (good to cool the beer). Wifi works pretty well. To sum up if you are looking for a cheap place with no high expectations on the service or the place itself, this is a good one.
lots of bugs in the bad!
It is so bad! when we came to the hostel,they gave us different rooms which were not the same as we book!!!! and at the access, thier attitude was very bad.
The place is fine! Clean!! The staff is very rude though. It's located in a good position in a very old and shubby building.
We had a private room with bath, together about 11 squaremeter. AC and TV does not work. We had to pay in advance, very unusual!!
we experienced a lot of confusion when trying to locate the exact spot of the hostel. The bathtub was very small and the beds were hard as rock. However, the cleaning was very good and the staff was nice.
I stayed for 1 night in the single bed room. Room is tidy and clean but a bit tiny, (i understand it's normal in Hong Kong). It's located in an old building but with its character and there are lotso f boutiques downstairs which you could buy a lot of sovenirs. Location is perfect!
It's my ever most satisfied hostel at reasonable price. I think i could not find a better rate than this hostel with such a nice and clearn room. Would definitely recommend to all.

COMPLETELY CRAP!!! if there is "0", i would give it zero-rating! I took a lift to the 13th floor to Kowloon hotel. The reception requested that i pay another 200HKD more than what is stated on my reservation list. The usher told me there is no room and led me to another accomodation on the 12 floor. I was stunned to find that the living condition was terribly lousy. I asked why was the room different from the pictures that they posted on the internet. He laughed and tell me to take a picture of the room and it will look the same as the ones on the internet!!! I am willing to pay much more next time to stay in a proper hotel. For those who dont like to get cheated, please stay away from this hotel "Kowloon New Hotel"!!!
Staff had limited english capabilities but tried to communicate-which was great cuz they tried to help us when needed & friendly.
Travelers friendship hostel is ok for budget travellers or backpackers.It's location is good esp the mtr stations are just a few mins walk.The hostel itself is clean,staff are friendly and Mr.Li,the owner I think is very accomodating.At first glance,the whole building(Mirador mansion)looks delapidated esp when you enter the building.It looks scary as if someone might just come out from nowhere and grab you and do something bad to you!There are different hostel names here and these group of hostels must do something about the appearance of the building and not just their own hostels.One might think that with the way this building looks,its's as if kowloon hides what it really is all about..clean on the outside,dirty on the inside...tsk.tsk..tsk...very bad publicity...

the room is pretty good, tidy and nice! but they gave me a bed with one double bed and one single bed, that is not so good for three big men! originally we would like a 3-single-bed room, but they said the rrent we paid is only for this room. they asked us to send them an email beforehand to make sure we pay what we get. and accepted to give us a 80 discount as a compensation! how friendly they are!
it is such a busy season, the manager is so busy that a long queue of travelers are waiting outside the reception. however, she still sends another staff to help me and answer all my questions! i am so grateful and will recommend all my friends to come!
