Security check is performing every night at the entrance of the building's basement. If you come back late after mid-night, you need to fill in a form or
show your passport, or ID card or hotel staying certificate to our security guards of the building.

Please select your 'arrival time' very carefully before confirming the booking.
When filling in the arrival time to the hostel, please add 40 minutes if coming by train or 1 hour if coming by A21 airport bus to the estimated flight arrival
time. And if you arrival at 11:00PM, please select 23:00 not 11:00.
Please understand that the hostels have to allocate late check-out, early check-in, walk-in customers every day, the confirmed 'arrival time' help you and all
guests to have the best arrangement.

Nice staff and contatct with them in advance. Nice location, metro and shops. But difficult to find the hostel inside the building - and the elevator very small so long waiting time (we used the stair behind uo/down to 3rd floor as a short cut).
The reception staff and the owner were very rude. They treat their guests like dirt with harsh words, not friendly at all. The room that I stayed had a faulty bed and it hurts my back each time laid on it, I try to explain this to the old lady at the reception counter( the lady I believe is the wife of the hotel owner), but she refused to hear my complained and chasing me away from the front desk. On top of that I also see, they were also rude to one of the guest from latin america but she fiercely argued back with them. I don't recommend this hostel and I hope hotelsclub and all other websites should drop this hostel from their recommended list. Thank You.
The TWH is part of The H.K. Hostel Co. Though booked into the TWA, I was moved into one of the other hostels. Though expecting to be ripped off I was pleasantly supprised to be offered a better room at no extra cost.
Great stay thank you. Clean and comfortable and also easy to walk up the stairs to guesthouse. I'll come again!
very dirty,no reception in the building we sleep,because diffrent building, we in block d and the reception in block a..never back this hostel again..
I DON'T STAY AT TWH. BECAUSE RECEPTION TWH.TOLD ME HE DON'T MY BOOKING FOR DATE 31/12/12-1/1/13 AND ROOM WAS FULL I SHOW MY BOOKING TO HIM BUT HE CONFIRM DON'T MY BOOKING AND TOLD ME GETOUT I MUST FIND HOSTEL ELSE FOR STAY
I am used to mainland Chinese service, so this was actually a little better, but obviously not good. The building is a pain to get around in, but decent location. Not too bad.
location is great: walking distance to the ferries and central. not an appealing place at first sight, but you quickly get used to. also great money wise
This hostel is remindes me some kind of asylum for disability people. Awful place to stay there more then 2-3 days...
I think that they must be very occupied in the peak period of season and that's why in the bad mood always. The staff at the reception's desk was very impolite generally.Need a great improvement for the professionalism.
OK.Chung King Mansions on a good day is fairly dreary. If you're over 5'-9" you won't fit the bed which is between walls. I had small black bugs visit me on the sheet. They don't provide towel or toilet paper. Fairly good remodel. Very small shower. Find a place with a bed you can stretch out on. Good access to everywhere though.

New extremely comfortable Matresses. Great value for money. great Location. Closel to train. Will definately return. Wish they took credit card for payment at time of stay.
i should have rated the TAI WAN HOSTEL as below 0 (negative) i mean way beyond negative. if you are planning to stay in this hostel...NEVER!! the place is filthy as hell! staff is RUDE as the devil! THEY EVEN CHARGED AS $756 FOR JUST ONE NIGHT FOR THE BUDGET ROOM! we booked for 2-bed but they gave us the 4-bed because they already gave the room we reserved to others!, aircon not working, the room stinks! we arrived 12midnight, we just spent one night because we can no longer take the room. what an experience in that FILTHY HOSTEL! WE HATED IT! we transfered to GARDEN HOSTEL at MIRADOR MANSION (just next to CHUNGKING MANSION) a night after. place is good, and the staff is VERY ACCOMODATING!
be careful, because they always lie, try to see the room firts to pay, if not, they will give you the worts one. they don't want to help for anything, the only good thing its the price. its your choise
