Great, friendly, English speaking staff, nice view, clean and quiet hostel. Quite a hike from Lapa and a distance even from the main Santa Teresa neighborhood and any stores/restaurants. Our bed was a bit broken, saggy, and uncomfortable.

Villa Leonor is beatiful, and has an amazing view of the city. The terrace, where you eat breakfast is very charming. When arriving we felt a bit like they weren´t used to backpackers and it´s also in an area that some taxi drivers don´t want to go to at night so it can make your journey home a bit more dificult. Still, at the weekend the atmosphere was amazing, and it is a nice place to stay - for a cheap price- if you want to see Lapa or Centre for the weekend.

Great place. Great and friendly staff. Nice view from the commons area. After the staff explains how the busses work you feel that all of Rio is at your fingertips. Would have liked more orange juice at the breakfasts...but that's nit-picking. :-)
