The St Clair Hostel is a heritage building with a nautical theme. This fabulous 1911 building used to be a hotel which accommodated railway and ocean-going passengers back to both Pacific and Atlantic destinations. The St Clair Hostel is located in an international student area, one block from the SkyTrain and three blocks from the SeaBus and public library. All amenities are within walking distance. We are a proud member of Backpackers Hostels Canada.

We offer three floors of renovated, Backpacker-Style Dorm Rooms and Private Rooms, all with shared bathroom and shower facilities available on each floor, and hardwood floors throughout the building. Linen and towels are included.

Our friendly and outgoing staff are always ready to help you out with information on Vancouver’s attractions, events in the city, or directions to help you on your way to the next destination.

    Super location and cheap for Vancouver city, but for the rest very basic. It's ok for a few nights.

    Excellent location. Third floor level not yet upgraded as others. Furnishings old and tawdry except beds which are new. Bathrooms and showers are good and clean. Room door had a "cheeky" grafitti on the back left by previous hosteler which accounts for the 60/100 for cleanliness. Management quickly removed same when advised. Overall, can recommend this hostel.
