My report last week was scathing. This visit we had a recently renovated room on the 2nd floor which was a vast improvement. Restaurant still inadequate & expensive.

Attractive foyer. Our ground floor room was tiny and cramped. Beds OK. Restaurant mediocre and no booze. Breakfast miserly and expensive. Would not go back again or recommend it. Bellboys good, rest of staff mediocre. They are on a steep learning curve concerning tourists from the West

We showed up at Al Fares hotel, the one we have booked through internet. I do not why we were sent to another hotel which is located very close to Al Fares and there we got a room, few minutes later we were again sent to another hotel which is also located in the same area. Nobody could give us an explanation. We got a room without windows in two different ocassions.
I think it is a little bit expensive because the room are not a big deal for the money we have paid. If we come back to damacus I do not think I will choose this hotel.
