AWA Heidi Hostel - Interlaken, Switzerland

Very old. Kitchen horrible it wasn't possible to eat there. Room was clean but equipment really old . Everything need to be repair .

Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hostel for last new year's. Unfortunately I had terrible stomach-ache and ended up spending the nights in the hospital due to a burst appendix. I received a plant in the hospital, from Heidi, he said. Such a wonderful kind-hearted woman. We decided to stay a little longer so I could recover a bit more before driving back home again and this was no problem. Upon departure we received some chocolats (Swiss!) for the trip back home. Very friendly people.

Do not stay here, it was such a dump! The staff were strange and spooky, and the place stank...even our room smelt terrible, and the decorations and furniture was dated, hideous and downright vomit inducing. The bathroom was a tin box that had been dumped in the room, the window frames were rotting, the beds weren't even real beds, electrical fixtures were exposed and we never saw anyone else the entire time we were there. Oh, and the room was filled with mice. While we were trying to sleep mice were running into the room through a whole...we could not get to sleep because the conditions were atrocious. Tis place is not fit for human habitation.

Interior is shabby and run-down. Staff organisation is chaotic. Accommodation is acattered all over the place so our party of 6 was is different buildings.

This is a very horrible hostel. Heidi is a 90 some-odd year old woman with dementia. Having a conversation with her is like trying to do nuclear physics, it is hard. The place smells like a wet dog mixed with burnt hair and shit. The locals laughed when I told them I was staying at this hostel because they all know what Heidi is like. The shower was in my room, they literally installed a shower in a bedroom with 5 beds, it is ridiculous. Do not stay at this hostel!!!!

It was really nice hostel, the young owner ( old lady ) she is really very nice woman, she is doing really nice work, I loved her :)

generally speaking ,I like the place very much . the house holder is a seneior laday, very kind. kichen facility is good, we take our food and cooked there , it's very money saving in swiss. only draw back is the rats

Little place that is run by an 80 year old women. Stayed in the dorm which is headed by her son Herbie. Pretty much he is the man and really fun and interesting, but a little on the odd side. He made the trip fun and helped us plan our activities on this stay. A little pricey, but everything in Switzerland is. Go Canyoning when your here! Thrill of a life time

This hostel is run by an old lady (around 80+ age, but in very good shape) along with her son. Very nice people. The hostel itself is in good location and I enjoyed my time in Interlaken in their hostel.

Cheap accomodation, near bahnhof BLS Interlaken West. Ideal for trips to Berner Oberland. Super personal.

Heidi, the owner, is a very sweet old lady. The hostel looks like my grandmother's house but it is very near Interlaken West and on a quiet street.

Nice place to stay. Good location. A bit old but neat.

"Heidi" was wonderful - very helpful and kind. Had lots of good ideas of things to do / see. The place was clean, though a bit run down. Bed was comfortable and the shower was hot! A great experience and we will stay there again.

The hostel lady was very nice and friendly, we stayed in a very nice apartment as well!!
