IN THE CENTRE OF UPPSALA
Uppsala Vandrarhem Kvarntorget is situated at walking distance from the city center where you find many of Uppsala’s main attractions, the main shopping street and the Concert and congress hall. The railway station is located only 1 km from here. You can easily reach the hostel by car and there is a parking lot outside the hostel.

OUR ROOMS
We offer a variety of comfortable rooms, ranging from private rooms with private wc/shower to bed in a dormitory. All private rooms are equipped with a tv. There is free wireless Internet access in all rooms.

RESTAURANTS AND OTHER FACILITIES IN THE BUILDING
In the hostel there is an atrium where the breakfast buffet is served in the morning. Here you may also sit down to enjoy a cup of coffee and read a newspaper or magazine and there are guest computers at your service. Next to the hostel there is a restaurant which serves lunch and dinner. If you prefer to prepare your meals yourself there is a fully equipped common kitchen in the hotel. In the building you will also find a convenience store, hairdressers and a masseur. Why not surprise your friend, husband or wife with a visit to the masseur during your stay here? There is free wireless Internet access in the entire building.

Breakfast is served in the atrium Mon-Fri 06.00-10.00 am., Sat-Sun 08.00-10.30 am. Price: adults 69 SEK, children under 12 years 45 SEK.

Our hostel is recognized by Hostelsclub as eco-friendly.
- We use electricity from a partly owned wind power station.
- In order to reduce excessive use of electricity we have installed sensors and timers connected to lamps in parts of the hostel.
- We encourage our guests to sort out their garbage and put them in our recycling bins.
- We have installed sensors in the showers to reduce excessive use of water.
- In order to reduce the use of paper we have installed hand dryers in several WCs.
- We use eco-labelled cleaning products only.
- We use eco-labelled paper only in our reception.

    The hostel was incredibly noisy, in particular my bedroom. Loud ventilators together with pipes outside the walls made it quite hard to sleep.

    visited the hostel on september `10. especially the kitchen and the bathroom were dirty. we stayed in the 20 beds room: no daylight, no windows to open. air was really bad and the room small, felt as we are in a jail. but the staff was quite nice.

    Bright, enough space, good kitchen, 'very good' wireless, quiet place. I will choose Vandrarhem/Kvarntorget again when I am in Uppsala. I enjoyed very much staying here.

    If you just need a place to sleep, this hostel is okay. The beds are comfortable. Just be aware that some of the dorms have no window to get fresh air in. With 8 people in the same room it gets hot and smelly... The facilities of the shared kitchen was super, but the cleaning of it could be better!!!
