Fantastic place to stay! It takes 25 min to walk to Sorrento, but that was okay. Fantastic breakfast and friendly staff.

Great Hotel but a bit far from Saint Agnello station. You turn left when you come out of the station and then left again and walk about a kilometre until you go around a beg bend & you see the church on the right. Take the next street on the right and walk down this street until you see the Hotel on the right (behind the church) Bit far from Station but the Hotel still good.

Excellent value for money. Location very good - easy to walk to town. A little difficult to locate hotel from directions.

Porto Salvo boasts a lovely spot on the coastline and our room had a super view from the window (if a little small!) The main building itself is spacious and the shared areas are nicely apppointed - there is a large, comfy seating area with TV, bookcase, games and two computers with internet access for you to make use of. Inside, there are also a number of tables and chairs at which the staff are happy for you to dine with food you have bought from elsewhere. Outside, there is a concrete terraced area with sun loungers, tables, chairs and umbrellas. The reception staff are helpful enough and are able to give instructions/advice on transport and the local area. Ice-creams and drinks were available to purchase throughout the day and bikes are available to hire. Our bedroom, despite oozing monastic charm, was very small! Obviously, the twin beds were necessary however, the rest of the furniture was either ridiculously large or not particularly needed - so much so that it was difficult to get around the beds and find homes for our suitcases! Lighting is minimal given that the windows are small and the only light source is from a small table lamp. There were only two bathrooms serving the guests without ensuites and we often found ourselves in quite a lengthy queue! One bathroom isn't ventilated particularly well as it has no windows and although the shower facilities in the other were fine, the water flooded across the whole bathroom floor in a rather alarming manner! (a mop was provided after several comments to staff.) Breakfast was good with all foods you'd expect, available: cereal, fruit, bread, pastries, yoghurts, juice and hot drinks. It is recommended if arriving by train, that you disembark at San Agnello station and walk from there, as the hostel is probably one of the furthest out of Sorrento and is about a 25 minute walk from the resort centre. The walk from San Agnello station takes approx 15 minutes.

If we could give more than a 100% satisfaction rating, we would. Porto Salvo is a beautiful hostel facing the coast. It had beautiful rooms, amazing views, easy access to the Sorrento marina, an incredibly attentive staff, & a yummy breakfast service. We definitely plan on staying there in the future- we can't say enough about Porto Salvo!!!
