Brissighella is a gem of a place and La Rocca is right in the centre so an ideal base. The owner and chef, Daniele, couldn't be more helpful and he even met us at the station and took us to the hostel. It is a hostel and not a hotel so the rooms and the facilities are limited. There was a kettle but no cups and saucers. The room was adequate but not luxurious so the towels were really more like dish cloths but did the job.We stayed during a heat wave and decided to us the air conditioner. This was wall mounted and very noisy. It also required a remote and didn't seem easy to adjust. Normally it would not be required. We eat at the hotel and the food was excellent and very well prepared. Breakfast is included and is buffet and adequate although we did notice that some spilt cocoa pops were never cleared away. We would throughly recommend La Rocca. Brisighella is ten minutes by rail Faenza and is and hour and forty minutes by rail from Florence which we visited in a day.

The owner, Daniele is very able, friendly and hospitable. He was a great concierge and helped me with rent a bicycle, get a spa appointment at the Terme Riolo and figure out the trains. The restaurant is fabulous - all the food made fresh by the Daniele. Wonderful family-run hotel. They plan on renovating the rooms in December.

Quaint family-run hotel with a super friendly and welcoming staff. Beautiful over-rooftop views from the deck on the roof; a great place to bring your lunch and look at the surrounding countryside.

If you have an interest in relaxing time with excellent food and wine, Brisighella is the place where we could visit by train. We've stayed for 3 nights in this hotel, the room is warm (stayed after Christmas time), clean, and the kindest family gave us relaxing time and delicious dinner as well. Also by walk, there're several nice osteria to enjoy slow food and wine. We expect to stay again in LA ROCCA very soon.

This was the second stay at La Rocca hotel and I wasn't disappointed. The family that run the hotel were most friendly, caring for all our needs. Brisighella is a wonderful town, steeped in history and cultural eventa. Can only praise the hotel
