The hostel is well placed, near beaches (1 min footwalk). Rooms are clean, breakfast is ok too. The only "problem" we had was with the bathroom : not equiped with real shower, difficult to clean ourselves!).

This place is located a fair ways from anything. we had problems because we had no car, so we were dependent on the bus which only goes 2 times a day. you can catch the bus up at the highway, but it is about 4 km uphill so getting there is a challenge. the Staff were really really great. we were there over easter weekend, not a great time because everything in the town was dead, and when we wanted to go to Iraklion by bus the guys at the reception drove us to the highway so we could. the rooms were clean and simple. the kitchen was burners, a sink and a fridge. the dishes were a bit haphazard but there was enough there to cook with. in the summer this is probly a really cute and busy little town, this early in the year, it was too quiet and not a very fun place for a couple of young women.
