Info & Description

Our backpacker hostel is located in the Cologne quater named Ehrenfeld, northwest of the city center. We are well reachable by public transport.
We offer a low priced but comfortable accomodation, with friendly people in a good location and we wish everybody to feel very welcome in our house.
Beside our enclosed café, in the close neighbourhood you will find lots of nice and cheap restaurants, a bunch of stylish and old-fashioned bars, dancing clubs, theater, cinema, shopping, green parks for relaxing etc.
For selfproviders we offer kitchen facilities in the common room. But also our café provides opportunities to have a rich breakfast, a hot cup of coffee or tea with a delicious piece of cake in the afternoon, or a relaxing glas of wine or beer with friends in the evening.
Our hostel is a very good starting point to explore the city of cologne, this might happen i.e. with one of our rentable bicyles.
Our Hostel offers individually decorated dormitory rooms for either 6, 4 or 2 persons as well as double and singlerooms. All dormitory rooms contain bunk beds and lockers. You can bring your own padlock or buy one at the reception. Most of the rooms contain private bath. Linen and Pillows are provided, bedspread and towels can be rented.
Selfprovider
The fully equiped kitchen in the first floor is open for common use. You can store the food you brought in the fridge.
For a small extra fee there will be offered a nice breakfast in the Weltempfänger Café.

    Service and hospitality of this hostel is terrible. Moreover, manager of the hostel is a liar. Check out time in hostel is 12:00. When we arrived in evening, 2 of 3 ours beds were not cleaned and made up. Moreover some strange man was sleeping on one of the beds. Manager promised us that they would give us a discount for such inconvenience. But at our check-out, when I reminded about promised discount, manager denied to give us a discount. Moreover he argued with me that he had not promised so. The tone of argue was very rude!!! I advice every one not to use services of this hostel.

    Very clean place in a calm neighbourhood, a bit far from city center but next to the LRT/tram. I would stay there again.

    Place is cosy and nice. Room is clean and not very crowded. The only thing is that I book a room which is indicted as “1 bed/s in standard 1 bed/s female dorm with private bathroom” on the website and also on the confirmation email. Although the price of this room is the same as the 4 mixed room, I still think it's a private single room as it's said so. But when I arrived, I find out I was arranged into a female 4 beds room, which is totally out of my expectation. I go talk to the staff, but he told me all the rooms are full and this price should be a 4 beds room, not a single room. He can't change the room for me. They didn't even make up anything for me, which is not a good experience. If it's a mistake on the website, please change it.

    Very clean, homely atmosphere, with a good kitchen and plenty of dishes/cooking utilities. There is a bar downstairs and aa train station right outside the door! Would stay again , thank you

    Staff very friendly and helpful, rooms are very clean and spacious, beds and lockers are new, other interieur 70s style, you can rent locks for the lockers. There´s a bar downstairs. You can also get breakfast for 4 Euro. Subway station right in front of the hostel, 4 stops to city center. Very good value for the money!
