Smokers in near rooms are bad. Staff is very slow to react in a day we're in and in the morning we're out. We left the keys in the room 'cause we didn't find anyone to whom return the keys. Streets outside the hostel are beautiful, and this is the only positive note of this hostel.

  2. robert From Romania On January 17, 2014

terrible staff-inexistent no invoice despite the fact that we requested we paid a private room with bathroom, but we received a mixed room with shared bathroom. very unprofessional, we waited 1 hour before check in for a dubious lady we regret coming here instead of wombats.

  3. Lukasz From Poland On November 24, 2013

Very good situated, nice people and equipment, recommend!

  4. Anna From Poland On October 14, 2013

Hostel is quite close to city center(around 10 minutes to get by Tram to Alexanderplatz). We have been accommodated in a single room with own shower. Our room was not perfectly clean but other then that, perfect! The staff helped us to carry a heavy bag which was very nice. I recommend the Hostel Am Friedrichshain Anna United Kingdom 11/10/2013

  5. Karol From Poland On May 8, 2013

Location pretty good, although I haven't used public transport cause I had my own bike. It was also possible to rent one for 8€ a day. Riding a bike is the best option for moving across the city - Berlin's got great cycling infrastructure and drivers are very kind too! Our host, mr. Atli was weird. But no problems appeared, except communication - I feel he speaks german worse than I do..

  6. Viktor From Bulgaria On May 7, 2013

The position is quite close to the city center. It was not so clean in our room, but we have been accommodated in a single room with own bath.

  7. Dana From Czech Republic On May 2, 2012

Good location( by tram 6 stops to Alexanderplatz),very nice area, a lot of restauranst in the street. Very clean hostel, good equipped kitchen.

  8. giulia From Italy On January 24, 2012

I had a little communication problem since the person i was relating to didn't speak english. english is important in a hostel, other then that, perfect!

We were suppoosed to stay there 4 nights, it ended up in 1 night. It was a real nightmare. At 23.30 still there was an unbereable noise in the corridor. The room was dirty and smelly, nothing worked proplerly. The owner stole from us 15 Euros, moreover, when he asked him to do something with the noice, he offended us by vulgar, dirty words about us. I want to forget this horrid creature and his dirty flat asap. I strongly not recommend this experience to anyone!!! Beware of this so called "hostel", but in fact it is something totally different from any decent place to stay. I have travelled lot of countries, but i have never been to somethong like this. There aren't any words to express my strong dissatisfaction. An awful, awesome, horrible nightmare and the thief owner!!!

  14. Daniel From Portugal On April 15, 2011

It's a nice place. There is a big and beautiful park near of the hostel, ideal for jogging. The staff doesn't speak english and the bedroom smelled a little like smoke. The hostel's localisation is near of some good-looking coffees. In overview, I recommend the Hostel Am Friedrichshain.

  15. Margarita From Russia On October 23, 2010

its not bad, its pretty clean and nice.

  16. IAN LIND From Denmark On October 4, 2010

The shower is fantacstic, warm, very powerful as long as you want. The beds are to soft and warn out for a big man like me 96 kg - but other than the hostel is fine. Used it twice during Berlin marathon. The neighborhood is good, good restaurants and bars nearby.

  17. Kristiina From Finland On August 31, 2010

It was quiet and clean place to stay.I would recommend to anyone to stay here. I give just ++++

  19. Sigitas From Lithuania On July 1, 2010

Right hostel for turists looking just place to sleep at night. If you need - you can make some food in shared kitchen. Respects privacy. Nice bars and cafes around.

  20. Sarah Agerbo From Denmark On May 19, 2010

The hostel was very good. It was clean and nice. And had what was nessesary for our vacation.. A good thing on the hostel was the fact that there was a kitchen and we were able to make food at home it this was needed.. All over a good hostel, not far away from buses or down town Berlin.
