Pub hotel/hostel, used by tradesmen, backpackers and visitors to O2. Location ok for Greenwich historic sites and O2, OK for London when other places are full. Fresh and tidy in all areas, big kitchen / small common area are combined. Staff fine,. some info on sites etc is avail.

  2. Alexander From Netherlands On June 6, 2011

Nice and clean hotel with nothing special, but OK. Café is sort of Rock, but does not interfere with the hotel. Helpfull staff. Situated 1 minute from train station Charlton direct to Waterloo and Charing Cross. Noise from the street.

  3. Yukako From Japan On May 17, 2011

the highest floor's shower room was out of service. that was so inconvenient. there is no elevator. in my case, my room was 4th floor. going up to the floor with my staff was sooooooo tired. there is no wi-fi. there are paying internet.

  4. Deborah From USA On April 29, 2011

I hated this hotel. It was inconvenient in every way. The atmosphere was old, dirty, and loud. Both the clients inside the hotel and out in the neighborhood were loud. Some guests are apparently living long-term in this hotel, and their arguments and television could be heard at all hours. Even with ear plugs I could hear them. The worst place we stayed at in London.

    Everything was cool! Thank you!

  6. Roy From Germany On November 14, 2010

It is a very nice place to stay and easy to find ! The staff is really kind, funny and helpful.the whole place makes you feel like home. The best thing for me - a water boiler with tea + coffee. awesome !

Pros: Friendly staff, clean room/bathroom and on the same block of the train station. Cons: Very far from the city. London transport is good but Charlton station is far (zone 3). One of the beds was very uncomfortable and there was a terrible noise coming from the ceiling. - If you are arriving after midnight be aware that transport to that area is restrict. We payed more than £40 to get there by taxi. - Make sure you book a room upstairs otherwise the noise from people walking on the apartment above won't let you sleep. It's very loud.

Excellent. Was there with in total three people. Very tired and beds in sleepinghall not ready. Receptionist offered us a clean private room with 3 beds. Great service ! Recommenden.

It was not bad,but the location wasn't very good. I must say that generally the reception was excellent.

  10. Anette From Denmark On June 4, 2010

Very nice hostel. Everything is clean and there is a very nice kitchen and common room with TV to spend time. Location is good, 1 min. from train station and only 15 min. to center of London. Staff is friendly and very helpfull.

  11. yicong From China On June 3, 2010

a little bit noise because closely near the road.

  12. Plamena From Bulgaria On April 20, 2010

We liked the hotel a lot! Our room was clean and comfortable, the staff was really helpful and willing to help us with everything we needed! Charlton is not far away from Londonm though you may have to use at least 2 trains or tube lines to get to some of the attractions. And it's really uncomfortable to get to the hotel at night because you need to catch a bus that's travelling at about 1h or so... However it's a nice place to stay in and I'd recommend it to all! The hotel's restaurant/club is a really nice place where you can meet many nice and young people so you can have social contacts as well ;-) or even try a caraoke night :-) And a great "+" is that there's a kitchen where you can have breakfast without beeing dependent on the breakfast hours :-) and have in mind that London is quite an expensive city, so better use this option ;-) Have great time guys!

I didn't realize how far it was from London city, which was a major detraction, but the place itself was fine. It was cheap and the staff were friendly.

This was a great little hostel,a little off the beaten track but with easy access to Charing Cross station. The kitchen was a great perk, and the free luggage storage was also nice. Would stay again. Cheers!

The staff is so cool!! I met a guy who was living there since 6 months just because of the staff (and because the price is also good). Besides, it´s also clean and not far away from the station.

  20. Anja From Germany On April 17, 2009

    the staff was very friendly and helpful; 1 min. walk to national train station Charlton;
