This is the worst hostel I have ever been to.I live in room 20 and there was bed bugs everywhere. My friend and I had bites over our whole body and it heavily affected the rest of our schedule. When we flipped up the bed, we were shock to find out that there was a bed bug nest just underneath the bed we were sleeping!!!People had ranked this hostel as clean, but I suppose it depends on your luck. We were very unlucky to get a room filled with bed bugs.I was even more irritated by the fact that when we informed the staff, he was reluctant to come up with me and take a look at the nest, and even find all sorts of excuses. Anyway.wouldn't ecommend it to anyone.

The people were really nice and the hostel was clean. I always got a hot shower. If you want a place to sleep it's totally fine but it's in a kinda shady area, far from the center of Prague and at night there's really nothing to do around. We had trouble finding even a place to eat cause we were sightseeing until late at night. It was not that bad but I would try to find something a bit more centric if you're not on a tight budget

Great young staff with good abilities in English language and knowledge of the city. Could be fun with more socializing between the guests.

Spus Ladvi is a wonderful establishment. The employees are SO nice and SO helpful! I never caught the fantastic womans name but she worked harder than anyone I've ever seen! She is SO sweet and helpful! The location isn't in the heart of Prague but the train station is (not even) a block away. There's only 3 stops till you get to the heart of Prague. And it only takes about a day (maybe less) to figure out the train system. It was hard for me bec/ I'm from LA and we don't go by subways or train stations here. So I'd say based on the prices, cleanliness and awesome staff the location is pretty great. I would definitely stay here again! =)

Good location. Great breakfast and packed snacks for the day. Value for money.

  15. Daniel From New Zealand On November 30, -0001

Very nice and clean hostel with friendly staff. Unfortunately there is no common room (or I couldnt find it) so chatting and staying up later around the hostel is difficult without keeping others awake. I would stay there again.

My friend and I stayed 3 nights in this hostel. Our attention was drawn by a very low price per night. We didn't expect much. But what we saw was quite satisfactory. A pluspoint was definitely that you could arrive whenever you wanted. The reception is open 24/7. All of the staff members speak English in an understandable way. And they were nice as well. We stayed in an bedroom for 8 (girls only). We got along very well with the others. It was quite interesting talking to them because all of them came from a different country :-) The room was equipped with 8 beds and two closets. The most important point was that the room was clean. Bathrooms and showers are in the hall. You should not take a too close look at the cealing in the showers, it was covered with mould, due to an insufficient (or precicely: not existing) ventilation. But well, you do not want to spend to much time in the shower, do you? Everything else was reasonably clean. You do not have a key, which is good, because you cannot lose it :-) The key stays in the reception, if noone is in you room to open the door. If you want to get into the hostel, simply ring the bell. They will open in an instance, even in the middle of the night. One thing we did not really appriciate were the ants we discovered in the morning after our last night. They were crawling underneath out cloths we left on one of the empty beds. They probably came into the room through the windows we left open during the night. But they had spray and took care of them. So it wasn't too bad. Tip: Close the windows before you go to sleep and when you leave the room for a longer time. In addition, you can use the Internet anytime, unless someone else is using it already, for one hour. And you can place your luggage in a seperate room next to the reception if you do not want to leave it in your room. Since it is not located in the center of prague you need to take the subway to "muzeum". This only takes you about 10 min. The station is located 100m from the hostel. There are two restaurants. One with italian and czech food, the other with italian and mexican food. Both quite cheap. If you want to spend even less money on food, go to the supermarket "albert" next to the subway station. All in all we enjoyed our stay in prague and in the hostel. Good stay for almost no money. (I cannot stress enought how cheap it is!)

GREAT! Really helpful and friendly staff; showers, bathrooms and floor is cleaned every day. Nice restaurants in the neighbourhood (especially "Pizzeria Paladino"). Next time we're in Prague we know which hostel we check in!
