The San Remo is also host to one of the country's oldest Italian restaurants, Fior d'Italia, opened in 1886. The restaurant offers an extensive menu of authentic Northern Italian cuisine.

The San Remo Hotel offers a convenient location only a short stroll from Ghirardelli Square, featuring exquisite chocolate shops and charming boutiques. The Powell Street cable car is only 1 block from the hotel and provides instant access to exciting Union Square.

Make your way to the lively and bustling Fisherman’s Wharf to enjoy a friendly vibe, purchase a souvenir or seafood meal, or simply enjoy stunning Pacific views. Golden Gate Park is expansive and offers picnic tables, colorful gardens, playgrounds, hiking trails, and more. It’s the go-to spot for the outdoorsy type. We challenge you to take a ferry to Alcatraz Island to enjoy a tour and learn about its dark prisoner past. Of course, you must see the famous golden arches of the Golden Gate Bridge when you’re in town. We highly recommend you rent bikes to go across it, but you could also walk or drive. For the best views of the city, make your way to Twin Peaks. This grassy hike takes you to the second-highest point of the city and offers panoramic views.
