Great terrace.Beatuful room.Nice Breakfast and very kind host.

  3. Erika From Malta On November 30, -0001

Casa is comfortable and around 7 minutes walk from the bus station. The host does not know how to speak in English but if you understand Spanish, she's quite helpful and chatty.

  4. Sandra From Germany On November 30, -0001

The Casa was okay. Everything was clean and the price was good. But the mattress was really bad because it was no real mattress. It was only a foam material. Therfore we had some back pain. But the worst thing was the man who came direct after we arrived. He sold a trip to the national parc and the trip was to expensive. It cost 25 Cuc but you can get the same trip for 10-15 Cuc when you buy it in the tourist information office.

We really don't understand the positive reviews. Vinales has so many Casas and this one is definetely not in the top 70%. - It is NOT 3 minutes from the Central Plaza, but 10 to 15 min. - She will have you pay the deposit for her larger room, give you the smaller one and will let you pay the full amount - "Deluxe" is a word she added, please don't be fooled by it - Horrible beds I would pick another one, this one is rubbish.

We stayed 4 nights at the casa. Friendly and helpful people, good food, nice garden. in a quiet neighbourhood, a bit off the beaten track, which we enjoyed. Be careful with the restaurant nextdoor: one of us had a piece of glass in his food. There were no apologies and we had to pay the whole bill.

Gladys made my friend and I feel very welcome in her beautiful casa. It was tricky to find at first as the house is set back from the main road, but equally, that was an advantage as it was a little quieter too. Gladys helped us organise trips and taxis, and even made us a take-away breakfast for our bus journey to Cienfuegos. I would recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Vinales.

Stayed for 4 nights with Maceo and Gladis. Their place is cute; you have your own entrance and shared terrace and it is very private. Good location...5 minute walk to town. Gladis met us at the bus stop and was very friendly right from the start. They don't speak too much English, so it is a great opportunity to practice your Spanish. They were very helpful with planning tours and getting us oriented to the town. Really enjoyed talking with them and sharing stories! Breakfasts were filling...lots of fruit, bread, cheese and omelettes. We plan on staying with them in Viñales on our next trip to Cuba!

We had a little trouble finding the place, since it is in a back road. However, after having found the place Maceo and Gladis welcomed us with a cold beverage and a lot of recommendations what to see around the area. We felt like home. Earplugs may however be recommended. There are quite a few cocks around the neighborhood.

  12. Eliza From Netherlands On November 30, -0001

Very pink and very good place to stay when in Viñales. Maceo and Gladis are very welcoming and excellent hosts to arrange things to do for visitors. Also the breakfast and dinner are excellent!

  13. Edith From Canada On November 30, -0001

Good casa. They even come to get you at the bus station!

It was agreed by e-mail and confirmed by the Villa owner that pick me up from the bus Viazul. She did not come. I waited for her for 15 minutes and went alone. Location of Villa were poorly marked on the plan on hostelsclub.com site, only came courtesy of a person I met on the street. The owner pulls in a variety of travel services giving only the price without any details of what specifically wages, but for breakfast for 4 CUC makes me infuse the same sachet of tea a few times. I strongly advise against.

The casa "Villa Maceo y Gladis" is located in a quiet side road close to the main street.Beautiful garden and terrace with rockin chairs and good food. The hosts organize tourguides for walks or excursions.I stayed 4 nights and enjoyed it.

  16. Kremena From Bulgaria On November 30, -0001

This property was recommended from friends of mine who stayed in 2011 and I am really happy I listened to the advise. I cannot personally give a higher recommendation. Both Gladys and Maceo are great hosts. They helped a lot. Also Gladys's cooking is amazing - do not miss a chance to try it and I can honestly say - the best we experienced in Cuba! So don't hesitate, just book it!

They over booked their house and kicked me out. I was happy to leave because I found a better Casa down the street with nicer people. If you do stay here, do NOT book anything from their house. The family is a bunch of liars who will tell you anything so that they can make the sale and get a commission. When we booked a car from Vinales to Trinidad they said it would be a direct private car straight to Trinidad with AC and that we can stop whenever to take pictures or go to the bathroom. When the car showed up it was a van with no AC filled with people crammed on top of each other. Which wasn't bad. but then they drove us to Havana because we are supposed to switch cars. But instead they drove us around the city for over an hour because the driver wasn't there. Everything they said was a lie.. Take the bus. Do NOT Gladis she sucks

Gladis is really pushy and will make you taste her food or book a guide to the park, but overall, she's a nice person. The location is good, the villa is pleasant and the mojito is amazing.

  19. Zeljko From Austria On November 30, -0001

I was moved to a sister, the place was very good, the only drawback like it seems in all Vinales the pushing hard of their break fast or dinner, which are very big to justify the high price and one can only eat at best half of it

  20. Jonathan From New Zealand On November 30, -0001

Thanks so much gladis and maceo. You guys were such great hosts. Couldn't have asked for better
