Info & Description

Standing on the foot of magnificent Mehrangarh Fort, Krishna Prakash Heritage Haveli (almost as old as Mehrangarh Fort) is an authentic heritage haveli, lovingly resorted, to serve as a comfortable oasis for present day travelers in their quest for the charms of Rajasthan.

KP Haveli has a selection of luxurious suites and fine double rooms painstakingly resorted to blend with the period and architectural style. Each of the 28 elegantly appointed rooms and suites are individually designed and furnished with genuine antiques and fixtures, old family portraits adorn the walls, the ambience and experience is further enhanced due to the presence of state-of-the-art in room amenities. Some of the rooms retain the original furniture as found when the Haveli was unlocked for restoration.

The recently restored kitchens offer a culinary experience with variety of menus ranging from a delectable palette of traditional Marwari cuisine to restaurants which offer a-la-carte options. Open-to-sky moonlit terraces under a canopy of stars with Mehrangarh Fort as its backdrop lend to the Haveli an ethereal elegance and brings the rooftop alive. Tribal dances, barbeque meals and a fireworks display are organized to make the occasion a memorable one.

This hotel has some really great features- great location and fort view (nothing unique though) and a lovely old haveli which has been painstakingly decorated and hand painted in traditional style. All the rooms are beautifully painted with big comfortable beds and were clean when we arrived. However, we had a number of major issues. The air conditioning is poor and takes a long time to bring a room to a comfortable temperature. Frequent isolated power cuts, most would resolve within 15-20mins which is definitely long enough to get very uncomfortably hot. On our final night the power was off for over 6 hours but just in two rooms. By the time our room reached around 40degress we asked to move to another room, which the night man was very disgruntled about. The rooms are not cleaned at all during your stay, not even the bins emptied or new towels this is despite leaving the key with them. WARNING- the price quoted on the website is PER PERSON. we ended up paying twice as much as expected which actually made the hotel poor value compared to everywhere else we have stayed. This is apparently a 'European' system which has passed me by for 30 years of living and holidaying in Europe. Would not recommend or stay again.

Great location, great roof terrace. Bits of the hotel are scruffy and breakfast was poor. Staff great.

It is very good to stay but location is not so good. View of Fort from hotel room is nice.

Hot water is not enough to take a shower, and the breakfast is so so for that price.
