Only a ten-minute walk to People’s Square, our very convenient location enables you to absorb the essence of metropolitan Shanghai. Our loft-style hostel was constructed from the old-fashioned warehouse which won the Asia architecture prize of 19xx. Our traditional shanghai-style decoration will transport you back to the glorious days of the 1930s and Shanghai’s first golden period. The hostel is adjacent to a delightful city park full of the songs of birds, providing you an extraordinary wake-up experience.

    It was a great hostel stay. We stayed here with a large group of 20 honours students from Zuyd University and we where delighted about the great this great hostel. They do need to fix the wallpaper because this is hanging a bit to loose. Good bathroom and very good bar/breakfast service!

    I really enjoyed staying at this hostel. The only disadvantage is - in the morning the corridors get so noisy, that you will wake up immediately. Besides I really enjoyed my stay there:)

    Personnel is not able to speak english. They are rude and do not try to help in your doubts about excursions or how to get places. The bar is cool, but there is not party any day of the week. Public rooms are not clean but private rooms are very nice. Although location and athmosfere is great i would not repeat my experience in Shangai Soho Youth Hostel, when you are in China you do not need a nice hostel but a helpful staff to help you with the difficulty of the language and the city.

    Maid will clean the room everyday, very clean, I love the heater, not cold at all in the room even shangshi is freezing
