Zhengjia International Hostel is located at NO68, south of Yamen Street which is a flourishing street of Pingyao. We offer a complete service of accommodation, catering, entertainment and physical therapy.

Zhengjia Hostel is one of the most important ancient constructed buildings in the city. It has more than 200 years of history, with compact framework, precise layout, symmetry, evident primary and secondary, Categorized as a building masterwork of Qing dynasty, the wooden corridors and colour painting .I.e. Four sided closed courtyard.

The hostel is a guesthouse in Pingyao located in the most prosperous street -----Yamen street.NO.68. It was the most frequent get-together district for governors, officials and commercial giants in Qing and Ming dynasty. There are many important scenic spots around Zheng jia hostel. Such as ancient government office building is opposite to us.

There is both Western and chinese food. Many kinds of western-style foods for our guests (such as real Western food, omelets, salad, sandwiches, pizza and much more). We provide local snacks which are very famous in Pingyao, such as PINGYAO BEEF...... and you can experience Chinese food culture in our guesthouse.

We offer many services that you may need. We can speak good English.. We will do our best AT YOUR SERVICE!

We offer free pick up service from station. So if you book a room in our hostel please let us know the number of your train and your arrival time before you come to Pingyao. We will arrange a car to take you to our hostel on time.

Our accommodation are mainly standard rooms. We have couple rooms, family suite rooms and deluxe twin and triple rooms. All dormitories have private bathroom.

Notice for onward travel by train:
Pingyao is a very small, ancient town. Because of this, it is impossible to book hard or soft sleeper train tickets at the Pingyao Railway Station less than 10 days in advance in case you want to book tickets by yourself. Train tickets from Pingyao to other cities such as Xi'an, Beijing, and Shanghai must be booked from the nearest large city, Taiyuan. The Zheng jia hostel can help you booking your train tickets from Pingyao according to your choice.

Tourist information
The Qiao Family Courtyard House was the home of a powerful trading family with significant commercial influence even beyond Shangxi. It was in this mansion that Zhang Yimou's famous film Raise the Red Lantern was filmed. Located some 20km north of Pingyao, the compound is fortified behind a 10m high wall. It is now one of the most popular tourist attractions in Pingyao. Another popular site is the Wang Family Courtyard House. This was the Wang clan's private residence and is four times larger than Qiao's, with 54 courtyards and 1,052 rooms. The mansion took over half a century to build and is located on a hilly area.
