The rooms are clean and the situation was not bad, but the staff very unfriendly and unhappy to help and answer questions.

This is a great place to get a true Beijing old hutong experience. The staff is excellant and it is a great place to relax in the courtyard after a long full day walking in Beijing or the Great Wall. Close to two metro lines of 2 and 5. Thank you staff

This hostel was great It was located in a hutong neighbourhood and there is a beautiful courtyard as well It's clean and the staff are very friendly The location is also convenient It's near the red lantern district and the subway.

Loved the place though the room was constantly cold. The staff were super helpful, the location was convenient and the price was reasonable. The lack of heating was my only complaint. But even with that, I would stay there again. Oh, and another thing, the owner's dog was another wonderful advantage to the place. She's very friendly, barks every time someone comes in and she loves attention and petting.

Great place to stay! Every time when I was in city I stayed there. Don't be afraid that it is suround by poor hutong.

You get what you pay for. The roof leaked, the showers only worked sometimes, and the hot water was sometimes not. The staff were pretty good about this, but didnt go out of their way to help. Good location though, and cheap.

I was really really surprised when I reached the hostel. Its position couldn't be better due to the subway which was nearby and the crowded restaurant street. Me and my other three friends, we spent four days at Ming Courtyard and all of us were satisfied. We all liked the touch of ancient and the bathroom in our double-bed-room. Though it was a hostel, the rooms were much more cleaner than the hotels we booked before! Also the staffs were really attentive and helpful, we communicated in english. So summing up me and my friends would book this hostel again at anytime, we fully recommend this hostel. you would regret if you don't have a look yourself!

Everything was good except the location guide. It was not ibn the walking distance. We had to walk about 30 min. The guide from the Dongzhimen station is misleading. But from Baoxin station, it takes about 10 min.
