Ybor City is a National Historic Landmark District in Tampa, an area full of wrought-iron balconies, globe streetlights, brick-lined walkways, old cigar factories and social clubs, as well as the hottest nightlife in the city.
The factories may have closed down now, but the buildings and cultural influence have remained. Many have been converted into shopping, dining and entertainment venues, but it's still possible to buy hand-rolled cigars in Ybor Square, and smell the fresh coffee and bread. The most buzzing street is Seventh Avenue, a magnet for families during the day and clubbers and college kids at night.
