    Cardiff:

Since opening in 2004, Cardiff's Wales Millennium Centre has become a local landmark with breathtaking design. It is home to seven diverse and exciting cultural organisations - including Welsh National Opera and Diversions, the Dance Company for Wales.

Without a doubt one of the most exciting cultural initiatives in Europe, the centre both produces and hosts opera, ballet, theatre, dance and musicals all under one roof. In addition to WNO and Diversions, it houses The Academi - Yr Academi Gymreig - the National Literature Promotion Agency and Society for Writers; Hijinx, an award-winning theatre company that takes presents professional theatre throughout Wales and England; Ty Cerdd, which brings together the Welsh Amateur Music Federation, the Welsh Music Information Centre, National Youth Arts Wales and Composers of Wales; The Touch Trust, which provides educational touch and creative movement therapy for children and adults with profound disabilities and autism; and Urdd Gobaith Cymru, one of Europe's largest youth organisations, providing cultural and sporting activity for thousands of young people in Wales aged between 8 and 25. The centre hosted the Urdd National Eisteddfod in Wales in 2005 and will continue to do so every four years.
