    Tallinn:

Tallinn Town Hall is a Gothic monument dating back to the 13th century that has housed the management of the city for more than 700 years. The city's showpiece, today it holds receptions for many crowned heads, dignitaries and celebrities.

The oblong two-storey building is made of local limestone and covered by a high-pitched roof resting on steep gables. The main façade is topped with a decorative crenellated parapet with gargoyles in the shape of dragons' heads. A slender octagonal tower emerges from the eastern wall, crowned by a late Renaissance spire, topped by a weathervane with the figure of a squire, known as Old Thomas. Tours can be arranged locally.
