Now standing proudly as the undisputed centre of attention at Chicago's Field Museum, wieghing in at around four tons, Sue is the most complete fossilised Tyrannosaurus Rex ever found.
Sue was discovered in the Black Hills of South Dakota in 1990 by paleontologist Sue Hendrickson. The museum purchased her at public auction in 1997 with generous financial support from McDonald's Corporation, Walt Disney World Resort and private individuals.
The Field Museum provides a consistently excellent programme of exhibitions and lectures throughout the year, looking at a wide variety of subjects ranging from contemporary sport to the natural world and the history of the Earth.
