Author August Strindberg (1849-1912) spent the last four years of his life in this building, which he called "The Blue Tower". The three-room apartment, together with Strindberg's library of some 3000 works, forms the core of a fascinating little museum.
The apartment in The Blue Tower is the only one of Strindberg's 24 homes in Stockholm that you can visit today. Interestingly, it had no kitchen - Strindberg had to seek his food from the Falkner's family hotel on the fifth floor, who sent it to his desk.
