Cannes' Russian community is served by the St Michel Archange Church. It was built in 1894 at the request of Maria Alexandrovna, wife of the Russian tsar Alexander III.
The church is laid out in a Greek cross design and is daintily completed by star-speckled, midnight blue domes.
