Celebrating the city's role as capital of the European Space Programme, the exciting Space City (Cité de l'Espace) in East Toulouse unwraps the universe's secrets. Astonishing replicas on display include the Mir Space Station and Ariane 5 space rocket.
Built around five main attractions, the park is devoted to interactive learning. Visitors explore space through a range of games, experiments and simulations, designed to answer the questions "What is space exploration for?" and "How does it work?".
The Planetarium takes visitors on a journey into the universe's core with original shows on a hemispheric screen, while the Terr@dome travels 4.5 billion years back in time thanks to state-of-the-art technology.
The final area is reserved for temporary exhibitions.
