The Queensland Performing Arts Centre in Brisbane encompasses three theatres of differing sizes (the large Lyric, the intimate Cermorne and the Playhouse) and a 1800-seat Concert Hall. Over the years it has hosted sell-out musicals, plays, ballets, operas and concerts.

The centre was built on the site of Brisbane's first theatre - the Cremorne, which opened in 1911 - and was the second part of the Queensland Arts Complex to be completed. Officially opened in 1985 by HRH The Duke of Kent, it joined the Queensland Art Gallery (1982) and was followed by the Queensland Museum (1986) and the State Library (1988).
