Seville's Plaza de España is a masterpiece of delicately painted tiles and footbridges, designed by Anibal González for the 1929 Ibero-American Expo. A tumbling fountain stands in the centre and a Moorish-style semi-circular government building curls round the plaza's edge.
Hire a boat around the plaza's moat, passing under the intricate footbridges which lead to the main building. Then head to the tiled alcoves, the plaza's most beautiful feature, each depicting a different province of Spain.
