    Atlanta:

The hosting of the Olympic Games in 1996 marked a watershed in the history of Atlanta. A traditionally Southern city, it was thrust into the glare of the world. The Olympic Museum details the city's metamorphosis.

The Olympic Museum chronicles the effect of these games upon the city and region through the use of multimedia presentations, images, artefacts and interactive displays; it even retains the maple flooring upon which the US basketball team won their gold medal.
