    Brisbane:

Newstead House is Brisbane's oldest residence, set in the picturesque grounds of Newstead Park. The structure dates back to 1846 when it was built for Patrick Leslie, a Scottish settler and politician.

Today, the rooms have been decorated and furnished to recreate the Victorian era and are open to the public. Group tours of Newstead House must be booked in advance.
