    Philadelphia:

Philadelphia's Mütter Museum was founded to educate future doctors about anatomy and human medical anomalies. Today, it serves as a resource for educating and enlightening the public about medicine and the changing attitudes of people towards healthcare.

Thomas Dent Mütter presented his personal collection of unique anatomical and pathological materials to the College of Physicians of Philadelphia in 1858. The collection now boasts over 20,000 (often bizarre) objects including a tumour removed from President Grover Cleveland and the tallest skeleton on display in America.
