Hockley's Museum of the Jewellery Quarter retraces Birmingham's 250-year-old jewellery and metalworking legacy with live demonstrations, workshop recreations and pre-booked factory tours. Set in the preserved workshops and offices of the Smith & Pepper Jewellery firm, visitors can watch skilled jewellers at work and explore the different techniques, raw materials and tools used by the craftsmen in their work. Contemporary jewellery by some of Birmingham's leading designers is also on display.
