San Diego's Museum of Contemporary Art is a leading institution housing over 3000 works created after 1950. The permanent collection is particularly strong in Minimalism and Pop Art, conceptual art, installations, Latin American art and works from California and Tijuana region.
The museum has another branch in nearby La Jolla and is also set to expand.
