    Detroit:

In a humble central Detroit home, musical history was made. The Motown Historical Museum is now housed under the famous Hitsville USA sign. Tour Studio A, where Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, and the Jackson 5 all recorded in the 1960s.

The museum is a place of pilgrimage and attracts thousands of visitors each year. All this seems hard to believe when you take a look at the primitive recording facilities inside. The museum has been set up as if you were back in 1964, with recording and session details chalked up on blackboards for that authentic feel. You can almost hear The Supremes singing in the background.
