Since the breakthrough success of the "Antwerp Six" designers at the 1988 British Designer Show, Antwerp has become a key destination on the international fashion circuit. The city's long-awaited fashion museum, MoMu, displays the best in Belgian design.
The core of the MoMu permanent display comprises the collection of the Provincial Textile and Costume Museum Vrieselhof, supplemented with a contemporary collection concentrating on Belgian fashion designers.
With MoMu and ModeNatie, architect Marie-Josée van Hee has created a light and airy meeting place for the fashion world, set in the very heart of the old city and at the epicentre of Anwerp's fashion scene.
