    New Orleans:

The Louisiana Children's Museum offers a hands-on experience teaching children about a wide variety of both specialised and everyday issues. Regular special events at the New Orleans museum include theatre shows, films, puppet shows and demonstrations.

In the Little Port of New Orleans kids can pilot a tugboat and navigate a barge down the mighty Mississippi. The Eye to Eye gallery examines the eye from inside - kids can step into giant eyeballs and peer through the lenses to understand the eye's anatomy and experience impairments such as blindness, glaucoma and other visual conditions. The Lab offers new insight into maths and physics through demonstrations and hands-on experiments. A newsroom gives kids the chance to star in their own TV productions.
