Designated as a cemetery in 1869, Lake View Cemetery is the final resting place of many noted Clevelanders, including Eliot Ness, John D Rockefeller and former President of the US, James A Garfield. It also contains the notable Garfield monument and the Wade Chapel, with an interior designed by Louis Tiffany. The cemetery is known locally as Cleveland's open-air museum and is a fascinating place to visit.
