The Imperial War Museum North is housed in a fabulous modern building by star architect Daniel Libeskind (creator of the Jewish Museum in Berlin, among others). Take the kids to explore the key themes of war in the 20th century.

The main exhibition gallery provides a spectacular setting in which to explore the museum's internationally renowned collections. These include a T34 Russian tank, a fire-fighting trailer pump used in the Manchester Blitz of the Second World War, and the artillery piece that fired the first shell from the British side in the First World War.
