The Henry Moore Institute is a partnership between the Henry Moore Foundation and the Leeds City Council, set up primarily as a centre for sculpture. Its collections, exhibitions and research draws on the work of writers, artists, curators and historians.
Henry Moore (1898-1986) became one of the most important and influential British artists of the post-war period, playing a seminal role in the development of modern sculpture. The collections and exhibitions at the Institute maintain the organisation's holdings of Moore's work. This consists of a major selection of sculpture, drawings and graphics.
