    Vienna:

Home to the classical composer for 12 years, Vienna's Haydn House now features an exhibition on the latter part of his life. This is where Haydn wrote most of his later works, including the oratorios The Creation and The Seasons.

Haydn bought the single-storey suburban house in 1793 and had another floor added. It was here that he died on 31 May 1809. Today the house has been restored to how it would have looked in Haydn's era. The exhibition highlights his personal relationships and place in Viennese society. Don't miss seeing one of the last grand pianos that he played.
