    Dubai:

On the Bur Dubai side of the creek, the Grand Mosque is a distinctive landmark featuring multiple domes and the city's tallest minaret (70 metres). Although non-Muslims are not allowed inside, it's still worth seeing its impressive exterior.

Originally opened in 1900, the Grand Mosque was rebuilt (in 1998) in traditional Islamic architectural style and can accommodate 1200 worshippers at once. It has nine large domes and 45 smaller ones, featuring stained-glass panels, sand-coloured walls and wooden shutters, which make it a distinguished landmark in Dubai.
