    Seville:

The bell tower of Seville's cathedral, the Giralda, is a rich blend of Gothic and Baroque architectural styles. Head to the top for spectacular city views. The Giralda has ramps instead of stairs, which allowed men to ascend on horseback.

The tower was originally the minaret of the Almohad Mosque, and when it was built in 1184, it was the tallest tower in the world at 97.5 metres. In the 16th century, the architect Hernán Ruiz designed an extension to convert the minaret into a bell tower.
