Poland's most famous musical son, Fryderyk Chopin has his own Museum in Warsaw's Ostrogski Palace, re-opened in 2010, the bicentenary of Chopin's birth. Visitors can see letters and original manuscripts, personal gifts bestowed on him and his last piano.

The museum also encompasses the Chopin Family Drawing Room at the Krasiński Palace, where they lived for a decade from 1827, until well after Chopin found his way back to Poland barred, living instead in Paris. Visitors can also take a trip to Zelazowa Wola, some 50km west of Warsaw, where Chopin was born in 1810.
