Established in 1875, Fort Calgary forced whiskey traders from the area and was the first permanent settlement on the site of modern-day Calgary. See how the legendary mounties used to live and tour the reconstructed fort.
Visitors can see the old prisons as well as more modern newspaper and radio offices. It became a Provincial and National Historic Site in 1974 and was opened to the public in 1978.
