While the Leaning Tower takes most of the limelight, the five-naved Pisa Cathedral is also a magnificent architectural piece, featuring massive bronze doors, marble facades and examples of religious iconography. Mummified St Ranieri, the city's patron saint, rests inside.
Noteworthy are also the elaborately carved pulpit and the tomb of the Holy Roman Emperor Henry VII, carved by Tino da Camaino in 1315.
