Detroit's Arab American National Museum is set in Dearborn, America's largest Arab American community. It documents Arab culture and contributions to American society. The Community Courtyard's fountain and ornate tiling is a backdrop to exhibits about maths and art.
The Arab American Museum aims to tell the story both of the Arab world in general and more specifically, those Arabs who have come to live in the United States. In two permanent exhibits the museum features the Arab civilisation and its contributions to science, medicine, mathematics and astronomy, as well as Arab architecture and decorative arts.
